Jakub Stritezsky on grounding through Human Design, importance of authority, sacral response, 45-21 channel and more

SEASON 4: EPISODE 1

Published 01/09/2025

Jakub Stritesky has worked with Human Design since 2006 and is a certified analyst, teacher, and trainer as a 2/4 Manifesting Generator. He naturally shares the system, especially in his home regions, the Czech and Slovak Republics. His years of apprenticeship with Genoa Blevin, the Director of Human Design America, have shaped Jakob’s unique understanding and approach. His work reflects his incarnation cross, empowering others to achieve relational and spiritual abundance together. In this episode, Jakob shares his journey from meditation practices to discovering Human Design as a source of grounding and professional purpose. He offers valuable insights into Authority, describing it as an island of stability in the ocean of life, and emphasizes recognizing one’s personal experience of genuine inner guidance. During the conversation he shares his passion for teaching and making the system relevant to everyday life. Emphasizing that transformation through Human Design requires courage, patience, and surrender.

Amy: Hi, Jakub, welcome. We’re really happy to have you. We’ve been wanting to talk with you here on the podcast for a long time, so thanks for joining us today.

Jakub:
Hi Amy. Hi, John. It’s exciting to see you again, and I’m really thrilled to be here. Thank you. Thanks for the invite.

Amy:
So you were our first analyst training teacher, I think back seven or eight years ago or something like that now. But I know that you’ve been involved with Human Design a lot longer than that, and we were curious about getting to hear what Human Design was like for you when you first met it and maybe how that’s evolved over the years.

Jakub:
When I first met it, I was at a point where previously I’ve spent several years really heavy duty meditating, just meditating a lot. I’ve spent a year in India, and I’ve been going into these beautiful states of being or consciousness, but at some point I, first of all, I started physically getting sick, like having a high fever when I was at meditation retreats and just also realizing that although I’m experiencing all these beautiful states at the same time, my life as it is in the outer world is actually pretty much the same and not all that satisfying. So, I came out of that part of my intense spiritual-seeking period. You could say that with kind of a realization that I need to be more grounded in the physical reality in the material world. Funny enough, I do have the channel of materialist, which I’ve learned later on, and I basically was intentionally sending out this kind of a gray or request that I need to find something that’s going to help me be more grounded.

And then, a year later, I came across Human Design. The first time I saw Human Design chart, friend of mine, who was actually a personal friend of Ra’s who studied with Ra one-on-one, and he told me, this is you. And he showed me his monitor, and I looked at the chart that immediately I knew I need to find out more. My intuition kicked in. I saw these two triangles. I remember their dream. I had where there was a kind of a start of David going, one triangle was going up, the other one down, and they ended up being completely separate, which I thought was pretty strange when I woke up, and then I saw this chart, and I immediately remembered the dream was like, I need to know more. So, for me, without even realizing it, at first, Human Design was the answer to that, wanting to be more grounded in the world. And, of course, it took a while to get to that place. But having this strong intuition, strong immediate response to the chart, and jumping into the courses with Linda Bunnell in the Summer 2006 when I started and going through all the courses with her and then with Genoa, Human Design America, I was so thrilled about it that I didn’t care that I don’t know what it means to respond, but eventually slowly here and there, I started to get the sense of what it means. And, of course, it’s been changing, it’s been evolving, this understanding.

Amy:
So, did you find that grounding through the knowledge pretty quickly, or did that take a while?

Jakub:
It took a while. When RA speaks about seven-year cycles of deconditioning, I always thought that’s; I don’t know, it’s taking me ages and forever. I don’t think that in seven years I can decondition, and of course I didn’t, and I don’t think anybody did. But the cycles are real for sure. That’s my experience and the experience of people that I spoke about it with. I think three and a half years down the road, basically have the cycle I started to, or two years down the road, I started to feel certain changes and shifts in my perception of reality of things are actually more okay, I can be more calm, more relaxed. And besides the great psychological benefit it has because, of course, it helps the mind to really get what’s going on. It’s so cool to be able to understand the programming that we have, the patterns, the energy that we have.
Besides that, it just really grows on you. That’s my experience, and it keeps on growing. So I’m always thinking about everybody as they get older, well, almost everybody gets wiser, gets more experience and so on. And then it’s easy to attribute to attribute that to Human Design. But at the same time, it is my experience that has given me that grounding, and for sure, it’s given me an opportunity to work with Human Design professionally and, for the first time in my life, really be excited about how I make my living. I’ve been really blessed to be able to do that for all these years now.

John:
What do you think this process of coming into greater grounding in the body is through Human Design? Is it a dynamic between the relationship of the mind and being able to be in our body in a sense? How do you see that process working, or how did it play out in your experience?

Jakub:
So that’s been one of the biggest questions since I met Human Design, because on one hand I was so excited about it and I had this super strong response and intuitive hit that this is for me, I need to find out more. And at the same time, I’ve been always questioning… great stuff, but how do I translate that into the everyday world, into the everyday reality? And where I see that happening at this point, and the way I work with Human Design is that I focus on getting people in touch with their Authority. Not just saying you need to respond, but actually saying a lot more about what it means to respond in terms of, for example, Generators like saying, well, it’s the rising up in the frequency in your body where you feel the energy to move on, to be involved, to enjoy what you’re doing.

And then taking them into, like, when have you experienced that? What’s the last time you’ve responded? And by the way, we’ve been responding every day of your life. You just didn’t label it as such. You may not connect the strange words that we use in Human Design with your personal experience, but as you do that, as you hear what I’m saying, when was the last time where in your body did you feel it? How would you call it? What name would you give it? And taking people into this experience, think it may be something that I’ve started doing after you took PTL one with me, I’m not entirely sure. It may be just a year later or so. Pretty much taking people as much as possible in this experience felt sense of their Authority so that they can tap into it. And basically, that’s what it’s all about. Everything else we say in Human Design and very well, you’re both teachers now as well. It’s like you can go study university for five years just about Human Design if you want to somebody they designed the course. So all of that information is only for us to really be able to discern what is our truth, what is our Authority saying, and drop the resistance from the mind. So taking people into this direct experience of Authority is one way of doing it. For me.

John:
It sounds like it’s almost like an understanding of the pattern. Our design and this template that we’re given allows the mind to relax a bit and then to feel into or to drop into more of our embodied experiences. That’s what I’m hearing. And so when you’re working with people, are you guiding them, asking them questions like you’re saying or like, okay, that’s a response, or if you’re working, let’s say with a lin Projector for example, is it a matter of finding instances in their life where you can reinforce that or help them see what that is in the context of this framework that we’re working with?

Jakub:
Yeah, that’s exactly what I do. Of course, when I do readings and I don’t do them anymore, but when I used to do readings, I do them within the PTL professional training. But when I do readings, first of all, I describe the design to the people and make sure they’re on board. They understand what I’m saying. They see themselves in these specific examples that we speak about. And I always like to say you learn from the failures, and at the same time, you’re tuning into your Authority more and more. So it’s like it’s got these two wings or two legs that you’re walking on. One is you are learning to tune into the awareness of your Authority, recognition of your Authority, because it’s happening energetically. It’s faster than the mind. And if we’re too much in the mind and we don’t even catch on that something’s happening, that the Authority is telling us something, especially in Splenic Projector as an example, which you gave, it’s like the people need to be super sharp in the moment, in the denial, really trust their instincts, intuition so that they can actually even get the message that the Authority is telling them in one way or another through helping them recognize in their body what is the experience of having the Authority telling them something or the intuition or the sacred response, emotional clarity, whatever.

And then from the other spectrum, it’s like, well, of course, if you don’t live according to your design, it’s going to bring up all these uncomfortable feelings of depending on the type, obviously we know the four major ones like disappointment, bitterness, frustration, anger, but we can go to all kinds of different things like somebody is a fourth line in their profile. We can speak about exhaustion. Somebody has a lot of individual activations or channels we can speak about. Well, it’s not fun because individuality really needs to have this fun and just does it because they enjoy it. Gate 14, like the metaphor for that or the architectural representation of that. So, describing the pitfalls, the various places where we get off the track, and having them recognize that, again, voicing the patterns that they live, which I find is so helpful because they live within these patterns, and most people aren’t even that much aware of them.

Some people are, and especially if they’re working with other people. For example, I’ve done a reading for this really interesting guy who is a personal development coach, mentor, psychologist slash whatever, and he was like, it’s so interesting to hear you voice these patterns because I know them. But here you speak about it from your point of view, which is the Human Design language, the keynotes, the clarity of mechanics. So on one hand you learn from the failures and basically whenever you feel that you’re not good enough, that you’re exhausted, that you’re bitter, nobody sees you or you’re not enjoying what you do, whatever, all these things, it’s a sign for you. It’s like a red light in the car that tells you you need to fill up the tank. It’s like it’s a sign for you that you’re probably doing more than you should,
Whatever is it you’re doing. It doesn’t mean you don’t have to do that. All of it is wrong. No, it may be, but maybe just because maybe today is not the day. Maybe you don’t feel like doing it today. You’re forcing yourself or you need to discuss the game plan with somebody else. So you learn from the mistakes, use these uncomfortable, unpleasant feelings that life gives you as a feedback to align with yourself. And on the other hand, you’re learning to be more and more aware of what the Authority is telling you. And at the same time, don’t be too anxious about it. Don’t try to control it too much. Don’t try to be a good girl or a good boy and live by the Bible of Human Design, gospel, whatever. It’s a useful tool. I don’t like some analysts have this approach of like, now finally you came to me for reading. Finally, your life can begin. You were completely lost. Now you’re found. I think that’s bullshit. Maybe nobody’s saying it in exactly these words, but the kind of a spirit in which it’s being communicated, I don’t like that. So yeah, that’s how I work.

John:
Yeah, makes a lot of sense.

Amy:
I’ve loved a lot of the things I’ve heard you describe about the Sacral response, and I think it’s so valuable to feel, and I’m sure it’s probably one of the most helpful things if you’re in class and you’re helping people to recognize that you already have this, you are already experiencing this, you already feel it. Let’s just recognize where that’s happening or see how that’s happening. One of the things that I’ve heard you say is that the Sacral response doesn’t have to be some sort of big huge superlative thing, which is something that I’ve come to as well. Can you say more about that?

Jakub:
Oh yeah. When we say sacred response, what we’re actually saying is that the life force within a Generator is opening itself up and making itself available to whatever the stimuli, the impulse comes from outside, and I like the metaphor of watering a seed and it kind of opens up and takes in the moisture and that it begins to sprout. So it’s is the same the life force decides in and of itself. And of course, if it’s an emotional Generator, then there’s a little extra on the side, but in and of itself, the life force decides whether whatever’s coming to it from outside is actually good enough for it to connect with, if it’s going to disrupt whatever the process the Generator is already involved in or if it’s going to add to it and help it flourish. Or there could be another situation where it’s disrupting what the Generator is involved with already, but it’s disrupting it with something that’s actually even more significant than important for the person.

And then it’s again going to respond positively. So, the response is rising up in the frequency of the energy. The response is something is waking up in me. I have more power, and I make this joke that the simplest reading for a sacred Generator would be, do what you enjoy doing and what do you have the strength to do? Go home, and you can leave the money for the reading on the table. That would be appropriate reading, but they wouldn’t be all that happy. They need more, obviously we all need more for that, but that’s it. We have this response, we have availability. Our life force becomes available. There is increase in the life force. So it could be literally feel, it’s like you want to get out the chair and do something or you have the energy for something. And so if you meet on a street, somebody, and of course this isn’t unique to Generators, but if a Generator meets someone on a street that they haven’t seen for ages and it’s a really good friend, then you go like, wow, exciting.

So good to see you. And the energy is there. Okay, so great. And then somebody asks them, do you want some tea? And they go like, yeah, I’ll have a tea. And again, if it’s not the mind replying, it’s like something in them connects with that question and it was like increase rising up in the frequency. It’s got the same foundational quality to it, which is what we call response, which is like everybody actually needs to find out for themselves what it means. But once you start tuning into it, you go like, okay, this is a small very subtle response that could be really big response, but it’s still a response. There is the same quality to it, which is this rising up, this availability to something.

Amy:
Simple, right?

Jakub:
Yeah, simple and takes a couple of years at least to really get it.

John:
I kind of see it more and more as this map that has certain signposts or markers or points of reference that point us back to our nature or our lived experience. And so with the Sacral response or the Sacral Authority, more specifically, one of the things I’ve heard you speak about is that people talk about the Sacral sound, and you were just demonstrating that a moment ago that the Sacral sound is not the Authority itself, but it’s a signpost or a tracking tool for when there’s a positive response or not.

Jakub:
Yeah, that’s exactly how I see it because Ra didn’t say the Authority is the Sacral sound. Ra said that the Authority is Sacral Authority, and the sound itself is just a verbal expression, verbal manifestation of the response. So it is very easy to use it except for 34-20, that channel has a hard time being able to use the sacred sounds. We know that that’s kind of an exception. I have it, or after some time, it works as well. But at the beginning, I was like, what the heck? I have no idea what they’re talking about. But other than those sacred sounds, it’s like additional help to recognize the response is there. Because if you let your voice make the sound as soon as the question comes without you thinking about it, if the question is the right question, if it’s not complicated, if it’s a yes or no question, not a multiple choice, as we know, the Sacral goes like, yeah, or I don’t know, it’s there pretty much straight away, but it is just an additional helping tool to tune into what’s going on inside of you, the response itself.

So as a Generator, you don’t need to be walking around your life and making these sounds all the time. It is fun, I like it. Sure, it is great, but you’re not always making these sounds, but you can learn to recognize where the sound is coming from. Again, that’s the response itself, and you can feel it in the body as this felt sense within you. That just lets you know, okay, I’m responding. Of course, at the beginning, at least my experience, but I think most people’s experience is that we don’t really know what it is. We don’t really know how to recognize the Authority, but over time, it becomes more and more obvious, and then, at some point, it’s no longer a question of whether I actually know what the Authority is telling me. But more of like, okay, I know what the Authority is telling me, but am I going to do it, or am I going to go this way?

I want this anyways. And then it’s just fun because we see that in my experience, I’ve had all these funny situations where I thought, yeah, I know the Sacral is telling me to get this thing for lunch or don’t do that. And I go like, yeah, but I want to. And I just have to laugh about, yeah, okay, I surrender. Sometimes, I have to go around the block a couple of times, three or four times, the same experience. I go like, okay, I think I’d better surrender. It’s really not fun if I do it from the mind. It’s a hard job. It just doesn’t work.

Amy:
I love that. I think that’s really true and sometimes I can relate to that. It takes a few rounds at least sometimes to recognize, okay, alright, this is not working. I surrender. Yeah,

Jakub:
I think this being present to where we consciously decide to go against our Authority is such a great opportunity to actually decondition because if we’re really present res and we hear the Authority telling us one thing and we go, yeah, but I want that and we do something else anyways
And we’re aware of it, and we’re present to what’s unfolding, then we can just really see how we make our lives miserable from the mind and that uncomfortableness, this feeling of whatever it is, frustration, bitterness, whatever, it’s, it’s a great cure because we don’t want to suffer. We’re not built to suffer. We don’t want to suffer. True. Some people need to suffer more before they give up certain things, but it’s one of the best cures. You consciously do something that’s not good for you, and you don’t play the blame game. You’re just there owning that you fucked up and like, okay, I’m just going to what to do. I’m just going to have to go through it. It’s my doing, and I better not do the same mistake again, get better in a similar situation. So we’re always getting wiser. We always get more experience, especially if you have partner that’s kind of on the same boat with you can be a lot of fun despite all kinds of whatever things that come up in a relationship. It’s always intense, but if you have somebody to share this experiment with, it’s going to be great fun.

John:
Yeah. I want to go a little deeper into just the concept of Authority to talk a little bit more about it. We were speaking about the Sacral response and Sacral Generators as kind of an energy of frequency rising up and becoming available to engage with life, and yet we have all these different types of authorities, right? In Human Design, there’s a wide variety of ’em. How do you talk about Authority as a general concept, bringing in some outside languaging? If you’re introducing Human Design to a new group of students or a client or a person, what do you think Authority actually is? Is it that we all have some sort of innate, deep embodied intelligence in us, and Human Design is kind of pointing us to that place in each individual, or how do you explain it to people who just don’t know what if we’re using Human Design language, they’re not quite sure what we’re talking about.

Jakub:
So, I speak about the spirituality as being absolutely related and having the needs to honor the body. The spiritual path needs to be a path that’s rooted in our body. Otherwise, it’s just smoking mirrors. It doesn’t work. So many people with so many great ideals about their life and whatever they do, how it turns out, it’s like it needs to be rooted in the body. We have certain predispositions, we have certain body, the vehicle as raw came up with the metaphor. We have the vehicle and then there is the passenger inside the vehicle, which is the consciousness. And as we are embodying this vehicle that we don’t actually control, we don’t control all the things that are happening in our livers and lungs and spleen and whatever. All these things that are happening all the time, we don’t control it. There is somebody else who’s managing that.

It’s clearly not us, and we can just respect that and to respect that means to respect our design. Basically, this is what the design shows us. This is the blueprint of how we’re wired energetically. And, of course, we know that these activations in the chart correlate to actual activations in our DNA to actual parts of DNA or the building blogs, the codons, and so on. And, of course, we’re not at this point far enough into the studies of Human Design that we could really speak genetics, although we try. But it is totally coming from the body, and as you respect the body, the life is more harmonious as you find yourself to be in the flow. And so we’ve all had these experiences, we’ve known them, and we want them more. And that’s why we are coming and searching for something like Human Design, like myself, want it to be more grounded in life.

And so when we speak about the body, we speak about its intelligence, and we speak about its capacity to know what is right for us outside of our mind, which is full of conditioning, and that there’s all these studies now and three years that whatever decision we think we logically make, intellectually make, they’re done several tenths of second or even several seconds sooner in the subconscious mind before we become consciously aware of them. So clearly, in the subconsciousness, it’s all the mess, all the traumas, all the conditioning that we grew up with. So we can’t really trust that for decision-making. But there is an instance in us, this part that’s called personal Authority to include mental Projectors and reflectors. Let’s use this term, not inner, but personal Authority, and it speaks to us. And although it sounds mysterious and vague and abstract, as soon as you hear somebody describe your personal Authority in your specific chart, it starts to make sense, especially if the person that does that, if it’s an analyst, will actually link the description of the Authority to the actual definition in your chart, like the channel that defines the Authority center.

For example, I have five 15, the flow, the rhythm. So what does my sacred respond to? Well, it responds to things that allow me to be in the flow, that I get to be in the flow, and so on and so forth. So the Authority is this place where we can truly, truly, and only there find a real stability in the universe. Everything is in motion. Nothing stays the same. We’re evolving. The world is evolving, the mind is constant chaos of all kinds of things. And with questionable values, sometimes it can be valuable, sometimes it’s just crap. And the more we are tuning ourselves into the Authority and learning to listen to it and experiment with following it, the more we are creating this stability in our life, it’s like if out of the mist that you don’t see anything, all of a sudden some kind of a shape of a human person starts to appear, and the closer you come, the more solid the person feels until you arrive and you realize you’re looking into the mirror and it’s you, and it’s like, oh my God, this is, I’m here. I’m here. Okay.
And then you have this stability in your life from where you can relate to anything that comes to anything that life throws at you. And so this is place where you create, I like to say island of stability in the ocean of life where you are creating a certain space for yourself to be less conditions to be like when the doctor hits the knee of a and there’s this knee-jerk reaction, the person just kick. So, kind of like I don’t need to have all these conditioned responses that I’ve learned, but I can just take it in and relate to it from the place of this personal Authority, from the place of this inner truth in me, and what a difference does it make.

John:
Wow. Yeah, that’s a beautiful way of saying it. As I’m listening to you, I resonate with that because it also feels like my definition, in a way. If you actually look at it in the middle of the chart, right? The 25-51 and seven open centers around it. It’s literally my experience of what you’re talking about.

Jakub:
The island of stability in the ocean of life, right?

John:
Yes. That’s beautiful.

Amy:
There’s an image that I’ve seen a lot of; it’s sort of a person kneeling on the ground, and they have all these books flying around them. It’s like the books have flown away. There was something about your description when you’re talking about that island of stability landing or them sort of coming into it. I could imagine all the mental gymnastics and all of the trying to predict and control and manipulate and figure out, it almost seems like it starts to just, it’s like you don’t need any of that. I can feel how having that kind of inner stability or that inner way of meeting anything, then there’s not a whole lot else that you need actually feels that way to

Jakub:
Me. I think we still, everybody still needs to work on finding ways to be able to resist the temptation because at some point, as I said, you know what the Authority is telling you, but do you actually choose it or do you go with what you want to do anyways? It doesn’t save us this thing, but it just helps us so much more to be clear, to see clear in our life and see, okay, this is great. I have a choice. We actually have a choice because like RA spoke about having no choice, obviously this, I’m not saying that’s not the case. I’m saying it’s more like, yeah, we have a choice. The choice is be surrender to the Authority, or we go with the mind. That’s the choice we have. But if we go with the mind, then still we don’t have a choice. The conditioning that makes the decisions for us, and if we surrender to the Authority, it’s the Authority, the wisdom inside of us, the body wisdom, this intelligence that’s there that makes the choices for us, we can surrender to it or we can struggle against it.

John:
Before I came to Human Design, I had studied another system that I found pretty valuable or a way, an approach called the Fourth Way from GI iff. And there are these set of aphorisms, these sayings that IFF had printed on of one of his schools, and one of ’em was, if you already know it is bad and do it anyways, you commit a sin difficult to redress.

And I think about that in the context of what you’re saying, and it kind of gives new meaning or new light to it, and that if we know that our Authority is pointing us in a certain direction and then we’re going against it and we’re overriding it for whatever the mind’s agendas are, it does kind of frame things. I know the language around sin is religious and all that stuff, but it’s like we’re going against ourselves in a way that if we keep doing that, it’s probably not going to work out too well. And I think Human Design gives us a different way of seeing that, or at least for me.

Jakub:
Yeah, I agree.

Amy:
I’m curious because you mentioned you have the channel of the materialist, you have the 45-21 and the ego definition along with your Sacral definition. I’m curious about your experience of those motors, if there’s anything you could say about that responsiveness and then that will,

Jakub:
It’s gotten me to a lot of troubles, this channel, that’s for sure. And it still gets me occasionally, for example, with my wife when she tells me, why do you control what I’m doing? And I see it as I try to help her with something. There is a supportive quality to that channel. It’s a travel channel after all, but she’s like, stop controlling me. I go like, okay. So yeah, it’s a long journey with this channel. I have two motors connected to the throat open route. I always think with fun back on what General OBL once said, my teacher is like MG with an open route is like Superman. On cocaine, you’re fast anyway, but then you’re way too fast for your own good. So jumping into things without thinking and doing all kinds of things and the find egos, and especially with this channel, it’s like you’re so visible.

People see you so much. And even I would say in today’s age of social media, it’s even more visible people with this channel, it’s so easy to criticize or to just point out that what they do is wrong or whatever. And you have 21 in the sixth line, which is the chaos, which is the wisdom line. Eventually, I’m learning to control in a way that’s wise, which is coming from the place of wanting to control all kinds of things through a phase of actually many times disengaging and not even maybe controlling where I should be to learning to step into that and control when the right moment is there to control and to withdraw when I control. It’s a long learning process with that and with this channel, I think people are really, really seen and very easy to criticize, to point out all kinds of things. So I’ve learned to be very careful and not too forceful with that. I’d like to think, but of course I’m still in the process.

Amy:
I think I get curious and it probably comes from my lack of motor definition. So I am always curious about what it’s like to have those multiple energy sources and if there’s a way that you feel how they engage.

Jakub:
Well, the thing about this question is I have no other experience, so it’s like what it’s like to have a nose between your eyes. Its difficult to describe because I don’t experience any other way of having this life. So especially 34-20 being in my incarnation cross on the design side. So this immediate response with 57 being there as well, spontaneous Sacral response in the now when I was a child, four adults were trying to guard me so that I don’t do some mischief, and then I went to the bathroom and fleshed a painting down the toilet anyway, or knocked over a vase and broke it, and it’s just been like crazy, crazy, crazy. But that’s my personal experience. I was acting up a lot. My mother wasn’t present in my life. Basically I needed that presence. So I was acting up to kind of get attention, but I sure can get a lot done, and that’s part of the charisma in that channel.

It’s like you think about it, you do it. The question is, is it really something you enjoy doing and you should be doing? Should I do that, or is it just something I can do? Again, going back to priorities, that’s a big dilemma with this channel 34, 20 is like really not get carried away with all kinds of things that are interesting or I could do, but realistic to what I should be doing and then not make too much of a drag out of it because of course I need to enjoy it. So I know I have to do certain things I don’t enjoy because we all do, but then mix it up with things that I enjoy and go for a walk and all of that. But yeah, I do a lot, and I’m trying to slow down a little bit because it’s been actually somewhat exhausting for years, but when Jenna was here for the first time in 2011, I did a summer seminar actually. I organized two seminars and a TV interview, and a magazine interview, and he was telling me, oh gosh, you do so many things. And I was like, it’s okay, it’s fine. It’s pretty much okay. It’s nothing. And he goes like, yeah, for you it’s nothing.

But from where I stand, I can tell you how much you’ve done. So we don’t even realize that, but the energy lets us know if we’re going overboard, it’s too much. We get tired and that’s a sign or angry or frustrated.

John:
So what would you say the main principle of the 2034 is in terms of its, if it’s defining the Sacral and the response, and you had already mentioned, and we talked a little bit about it, it’s important to enjoy what we’re doing and to have that sense of satisfaction, how we’re using the energy or how someone’s using the energy. But you also had said what you should be doing, and it kind of brings up to me this question about where thoughts must become deeds. How do you understand that phrase of Ra’s for the 20-34?

Jakub:
Well, the way I see it is that it’s on one hand, it’s very easy to get carried away with whatever I think about start to start doing that immediately I’m in the middle of something and I write a note or I go on the internet and look for something else or I need to buy this and I make a phone call and all of that. It’s like this addiction to immediately do whatever I think about and put it into action. On one hand, that’s the not self aspect of it. And on the other hand, it’s a lot about being able to immediately put the response into action, engage into action and into the manifestation process. Just getting things done. Use the great power, apply the great power right now to do something straight away. Something that you respond to, do it straight away is the true self of it.

You can immediately through your response, get into something and start doing it, do it, maybe even finish doing it, whatever, get into it straight away. But of course the same can be for the mind. One can get carried away and jump into things just from the mind. So then that’s why it was so difficult for me to get all this talk about Generator because I haven’t actually heard anybody else besides myself articulate the difference between MG and a pure Generator, especially MG with 34 20 in a way that really makes sense to me. And I didn’t hear it when I came into Human Design, and it took me a really long time, I don’t know, a really long time. It took me at least a couple months to start having some idea of what the response actually is and maybe two years to really get a pretty good idea of what it is.

It is been a long journey because MGs are, there is a manifesting aspect to us. We’re wired to jump into action, especially with 34-20. The thing is that even though there may be impulses that come from within, ultimately, the Sacral needs to become available, and the Sacral needs to get on board. So, in other words, the life force is responding sometimes to the impulses that come from within us, but ultimately, the end result is the same. The Sacral is on board. We are the energies available and we can do it, and we just feel it’s the right thing to do. Either it gives us satisfaction or we just feel, yeah, this is what I should be doing. Makes sense. So, it is been a long journey for me to understand that it’s the mind that wants to do everything, anything immediately. And we’re learning more and more to surrender and let the Sacral response itself determine what it is we do in the now, and yet still with that speed, with that energy of an MG, which, as we know, can skip important things and needs to go back to it.

John:
And most of your channel definition is either unconscious or partly unconscious, is that correct?

Jakub:
Yeah, my whole definition is unconscious, meaning there is no channel that’s fully black. And so that’s the case. Again, it is really hard to say what does it mean because I don’t have a comparison, but, and this is when I first time I realized how I can never get what it is to have a different design is when I was speaking about a G center and telling somebody with an open G, what it’s like to have an open G. I was like, I’m never going to have an idea. I’ll never know what it means, what it feels like to have an open G center. I never know because it’s not that I can always say who I am and where I’m headed just because I have a defined G. The older I am, the more I could probably say something about it. But the thing is there is a consistency with in my life, there is something that’s constant there that’s not necessarily aware or I’m not always present to it, but there is a constant in terms of my identity and my heading in life, my direction. But it’s not like I always can say who I am and where I’m headed, and it’s a world’s difference from somebody who has an open G center. It’s a really huge difference, and I have no idea what it means to have an open G. So, having all the channels unconscious on the aware side, on the conscious side, all my centers are white. I always felt myself to be super open, super flexible. But the funny thing is that’s certainly not the experience of people that meet me, that I am super open and super flexible, but subjectively, I always felt that way. I kind of vulnerable, very open, very like I go where the wind blows and it’s subjectively what I felt. And, of course, Human Design helped me to understand it’s not the case or not always the case.

John:
Yeah, I get what you’re saying about it; it’s really hard to think outside of our design to know what it would be like to not have what we have. One other thing on the 20-34 is your birth cross across of the sleeping phoenix is a new global cycle that’s coming in in 2027, and it seems like it’s already underway. Do you have a sense of the 20-34 and the background frequency coming in and what the significance of that is for us in the collective or for us in the totality as a 20-34 cross of the sleeping phoenix? What’s your sense of all this?

Jakub:
I don’t have a sense of it coming into the programming that it’s going to become in 2027. I don’t have a sense of it approaching. I just see how things are falling apart, obviously.

But at the same time, I have to say that I personally think that people are making much more of this topic, are making it up to be sensational, just a little bit too much for my personal taste, for my personal liking, so I don’t pay too much attention to it. But obviously, what I’m seeing is that things are really falling apart. It’s really hard to get things done together as a community, which is the frequency that we’ve been with for the last 400 years. The course of planning, 37, 49, 16, skillfully, enthusiastically doing things together. It’s hard to go against that process. It goes, but at the same time, I don’t like to view that primarily negatively. I don’t like even the transits, there is a lot of talk about transits in Human Design. I think, for whatever reason, RA wasn’t really emphasizing the positive aspect of transit, although obviously when there is a transit, it’s neutral, just like your design is neutral, there is nothing positive or negative about your design or about a transit or about the global keys, be it the course of planning or the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix.

It just is. And what is either positive or negative, if we’re going to speak in these terms, is how you relate to it, how you live your design. Do you make something out of it? Do you enjoy doing whatever it is you came here to do, or do you struggle because you’re driven by the mind? Is the transit that’s here through, for example, the sun for the six days or whatever, Pluto can be there for three years. Is the transit pushing you into something that’s really not good for you, or are you really sticking to your Authority? And from that place of Authority, you do certain things that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to do. That’s called life. We’re encountering experiences that we grow through. We’re on the hero’s journey. We don’t need to make this into a negative experience. And the same goes for me for the cross of sleeping Phoenix that’s coming up in a couple of years, is that, yeah, sure everything, it’s going to be used and misused. It’s going to be good and bad and all of it. It just depends on individual people and how they deal with it. And it just as well may be that it’s going to bring home the topic of personal responsibility and self-sustainability and authenticity more to the forefront because it’s, we’re going to be kind of forced to do that, to be more ourselves, to be more empowered, which is the overall theme of that cross empowerment. So that’s how I see it.

John:
Yeah, that makes sense. I think there is a lot of sensationalism out there, and I see it in the astrological world as well, and community and the transits and everything you’re kind of mentioning. And yet, I think you’re right. At the same time, life goes on. And in a way, it seems like what we make of it individually, and maybe that will be kind of part of how we move forward. Interestingly enough, I think if we’ve been on this planet for a while, we’ve been through a couple of these kind of things, and this is

Jakub:
Oh, sure,

John:
Yeah, maybe a big one. We’ll see. But yeah, we’ve had a lot of these.

Jakub:
We’ve been through that in 1200 BC and that’s when the whole global, so-called global trade in the Mediterranean basically stopped. It’s been there for several hundred years, and there’s been five or seven different civilizations exchanging goods and sailing around the Mediterranean, Phoenicians, Egyptians, Greeks, and then all of a sudden, it just stopped, and the historians were baffled. What was the reason, and it’s a big topic, what happened? What is the reason? Why did it stop? And I looked at it because I saw a video about it on YouTube, and then I was like, Hmm, I wonder. And I looked, and sure enough, the Cross of Planning changed into the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix.

John:
Oh, really?

Jakub:
Yeah, there’s been chaos. There’s been a kind of things that were falling apart, hard times for people that were all that global trade was stopped and just, yeah, it wasn’t a nice time. And yeah, it happened. We’ve been there, but still, we are at the best times to live as people collectively. We’ve never had this level of wealth and luxury, even just on the level ofthe average person. We turn around the faucet and we have hot water running, we have the food, we have the medical care, all that. It’s like even though, I mean especially in states, it’s crazy expensive, but it’s available. They’re actually less wars now than ever in history, even though the media painted a different picture. It’s like we’re in the of times, so let’s just see. I’m too far. I’m inherently optimistic. Also, with my definition 55 being the person for the last, at least some years, I think of myself as being slightly autistic. So I’m kind of sometimes not really paying attention to all the things around me. I just do my thing. And my wife is a 6/2 Emotional Projector, and she’s like, oh, I’d really like to have disability if I need it to in a restaurant, you don’t hear these people. You don’t sense what’s going like, no, I’m just eating my food.

So we go through life, we’ll see. Let’s have fun as much as we can.

John:
I’m with you. I really am. Right.

Amy:
What else are we going to do? Right? Well, you’re someone, Jakob, who I’ve always thought of as a very natural educator, and I don’t know, I assume, I suspect on some level you identify with that role. I’m curious if you do, and if there was a time when you sort of woke up to that version of the 45 21 or the sense of education being something that was natural to you or a priority for you or something.

Jakub:
Well, it happened. I woke up to it after it happened. I wasn’t really aware of it when it happened. Like, oh, I’m doing it now as a second line. I don’t always study continuously Human Design as the first line people do. And sometimes, especially the first years when I started to teach, I was sometimes nervous because I get these questions that I didn’t know answers to. I was like, how do I put it and what do I say? And all of that. But it has changed. It’s been maybe five years I think I’ve realized besides teaching the foundational and professional training courses within the Human Design, I also do life seminars to do two a year. Now it’s just one year. It’s about the incarnation growth. That’s where I really have the contact with people. And that’s, by the way, what we were doing here with Geno when he was coming over something similar.

And I was always nervous of, are the people going to like what I do? Is it the right thing to do now? And I was always feeling all these doubts about is it the best thing? And so on. And I remember five years ago, all of a sudden I was at a seminar and I thought, I don’t care. I’m going to do what makes sense to me. I’m just going to hold a space. I’m going to tell them what to do, and that’s how it’s going to be. And I’ve relaxed a lot since then, and people also relaxed a lot since then. It’s just changed. And my experience is definitely transformed within me leading a seminar or being a teacher. And the same goes for analysts as I’m sure it’s like you’re not here to satisfy every need of your client or every need of your student.
That’s a trap that we can easily fall into, like, oh, I need to make it so that they’re really happy with what they’re getting. But if what they’re wanting from you is really not the main thing that they need to hear or is not where your class structure and curriculum for particular course or the class takes you, then we need to set the boundaries and just be okay with it and say, yeah, we’re going to talk about this later. Or maybe you can ask me at the beginning of the class next week. So yeah, it’s been a journey. But I have to say, I’ve been really supported big time by my friend, gen Levin, director of Human Design America, and he’s really been commenting on me being a teacher. And because he did it the way he did it, I started to wake up to it. I wouldn’t think of me in that way, that you’re really good at what you’re doing. I was like, do you really think so? I have no idea. So over the time, over the years, yeah.

Amy:
Well, on that note, could you say something about what you see as both your future in working with design or how you see it evolving, if there’s anything you see about what’s ahead for you, or for

Jakub:
Instance, I do want to teach professional training. That’s pretty much all that I teach now. I do want to support other teachers to teach other courses, and I do that within Human Design America as well as here in Czech Republic. I am a teacher of LYD guides. I’m a teacher of Rave ABCs teachers. So, I’ve been able to take future teachers through the courses so that they can teach. That gives me pleasure. But I really want to explore more and be more creative about finding ways of using this information so that it’s applicable in the daily life even more than I do right now. The best I came up, it’s all combination of things, but one of the things that I came up with is this work with tuning into the Authority in your body, learning to recognize where you feel it in the body, how do you call it?

It’s a support to basically tune into that, but to also frame the whole Human Design system and to frame the whole information about it in a way that brings even more clarity or capacity to surrender, to be okay with things. It’s always kind of a dilemma for a person who encounters Human Design and starts to learn about their design and is really thrilled and wants to put it into their life and wants to learn it and wants to live it when at the same time we know we can’t really speed up the evolution. We can’t will it. We can’t make it happen. The change, the transformation, it’s going to come on its own in its own time, and patience is the fastest way. So nurturing the students or the client’s desire to learn more and jump into it while at the same time helping them to relax a little bit in that and say, Hey, you’re not going to miss the train. It’s like you’re here. Just take your time. So finding ways of how to communicate that even more clearly. It’s always what I’m interested in and what I like. Yeah.

John:
This bit about surrender and kind of getting the mind to surrender and this potential for transformation to come in. Can you say a little bit more about that? How do you see that part of the process working?

Jakub:
Well, you need courage for sure. We have the map, which is the Human Design. We can see all kinds of situations in that map, things that we encounter along the way on our journey. We can see where we have our resources and we can see where we have our neurotic conditionings and addictions. You could call that too. Conditioning is just an addiction to certain kind of behavior in a certain situation. And when you hear it, when you see it, when somebody really paints a really vivid 3D picture that’s reasonably precise and you resonate with it and you see yourself in it, you get the map, you get the guidance, you go like, okay, so now let’s put it into practice and be courageous with it. Kind of like what I used to say to people with an open spleen in a reading, but what actually applies to everybody.

We know that people with an open spleen tends to have more issues with fears, existential fears than others. People with a defined spleen, although they do have them too, but it’s not as prominent necessarily. And so I used to say, well, just the more you live your design, the more capacity you have to do things that require courage. And it’s okay if you can do something now, or if you can’t leave your job or leave the relationship you’re in because it’s just too unimaginable for you, it would be like dying. So don’t force yourself to do that. Be compassionate with yourself. Do what you can do. Take little steps and they will accumulate over time, and you’ll have more and more courage to just be yourself. And ultimately, it’s not going to be an issue because it’s always just a virtual issue. It’s like the conditioning is made up, it’s virtual.

It is not really there, but at the same time, it’s pretty real until it’s not. So we need to have the courage. We need to get out of the blame game. We need to own responsibility for our choices. The biggest differences, you decide to either be a hero of your story or you decide to be the victim of somebody’s whatever, and whatever people can do to get support in this direction, to be more courageous, to not be blaming themselves or others, not to be harsh on themselves, not to criticize themselves, not to try to please others. Human Design is a great help in cutting through the bullshit. You see, okay, this is my truth. I can live it. Or I can prefer to not get my mother-in-law angry at me because I would be too rude by telling her I don’t want to listen to her speech any longer, whatever.

Or you can find a more diplomatic way out of that. We don’t need to be too strict about it. But I think a big part of it is don’t take it too seriously because my personal mistake, and I’ve seen it in many other people, is that I wanted to eradicate all the not solve in my life, all the conditioning. I want it to just be like, I’m going to get rid of that. And that’s crazy because you can’t get rid of something in this way. You need to own it. And if you own it and accept it, then you can transcend it. But you can’t refuse and say, no, I don’t want it. I don’t want it. If you’re not holding something in your hand. You can’t let go of it. If you hold it, if you accept it, if you surrender to the fact that it’s there, whether you like it or not, then you can let go and you can transcend it.

Amy:
I love that. Thank you, Yaku. That’s very, very well said. And I like the idea of people being able to work with this in a way that feels encouraging and employs exactly what you said. I love that phrase, use patience is the fastest way. Yes. That seems really, really true. And there’s a relaxation I can feel through you as well, which I think can inspire curiosity in people rather than more of the sense of there’s something I’m doing wrong that I have to figure out how to do it,

Jakub:
Which

Amy:
It isn’t usually very helpful.

Jakub:
Well, it’s this obsession with not-self that’s so prevalent and unfortunately in Human Design it’s like we as people anyway, naturally want to see the problem because we’re tracking for the problem since we were at school. Why did you do something wrong? Why did you get the wrong grade? And all of that. But what I like about Human Design is that it’s solving the issues without focusing on the problem. It’s focusing on that which works that takes you further and outside of the reality of the problem rather than you trying to fix the problem.

John:
Well, this has been great. Great to reconnect, and I really do appreciate your perspective and your experience and wisdom in these areas. Is there anything else that you’d like to share or say before we start to wrap up?

Jakub:
Just that its really lovely to see you, and the fact that you teach Human Design together I think is great.

John:
Well, you’re directly responsible for that actually, so there is a way of coming back around because that’s where I met Amy in your class.

Amy:
In your class.

Jakub:
Yeah. Perfect.

Jakub:
Thank you. Thank you for that. Yeah, it is really nice to see you together. Yeah. So yeah, it’s been great. Thanks for the opportunity. I really enjoyed that.

Amy:
Yeah, I really enjoyed listening to you again and really appreciate your style and your way of transmitting the information. I think it’s very unique, and I can just feel your heart in it and your awareness, and it’s really inspiring. Thank you.

Jakub:
Thank you.
