The Ego has to do with will, commitment, the material world, self-worth, and confidence. It is a motor that strives to accomplish and fulfill commitments so that it can rest.
Defined Ego
A reliable source of willpower and commitment, able to make promises and keep them when aligned with one’s own values. Naturally healthy self-esteem, sense of self-worth, and ability to compete and prove oneself in the right circumstances. Provides energy for negotiating and managing the material world in a way that fosters dependability and confidence. A forceful motor, but one that needs regular rest so that it can continue to provide for others. Likes to be in control of its own resources. In an unhealthy state, a big ego that expects others to have big egos as well and pressures others to prove themselves and make promises. Can be overly stubborn and forceful, drawing resistance from others, or allows others to be in control, suppressing natural will, which leads to ill health.
Undefined Ego
Able to see who has strength of will, who can keep their promises and who is managing the material world well. Able to see value in others, but often unsure of one’s own worth. Inconsistent access to willpower and self-esteem. In an unhealthy state, tries to compete, prove, and improve oneself, and makes promises that cannot be kept and feels generally never good enough.
